Soul Eater (Sōru Ītā)

Published by:

Soul Eater is one that I kept pushing back for some reason. Not sure why since I’ve been on the lookout for longer animes. I am so tired of the 12-13 episode crap of recent times.

The show takes place at Death Weapon Meister Academy. The main characters are 3 students who are weapon meisters and they’re paired with weapons who can transform into humans with their own personalities. Their goal is to make their weapons into Death Scythes who are suitable to serve the headmaster. That headmaster is Death. To do this they must collect 99 souls and a witch in that order or they have to start over. Continue reading

Daily Lives of High School Boys (Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou)

Published by:

Daily Lives of High School Boys is a bunch of skits pieced together to form an anime. There is no coherent storyline to follow, it’s just wholesome comedy fun.

The show follows Tadakuni and his 2 friends through everyday things…or is it school things at their all boys academy? They actually have a debate about this in the anime. They obliterate the 4th wall without mercy. They even talk about the guy who writes the manga. It has after school stuff, during school, little sisters, older sisters, bullies and all the things from those awkward years for most us. Continue reading

D-Frag! (Dīfuragu!)

Published by:

In the genre of school comedies you have some that focus on school and some that focus on the club side. D-Frag is one of the ones that take the club side and take it up a notch.

A “delinquent” named Kenji is forcibly recruited into the Games Club and I mean forcibly. When he joins the club he meets some awkward girls who are the other members of the club. Kenji is needed so that the club isn’t disbanded. The girls of the club all have some “element”. Water, fire, earth, etc. and they’re dead serious about them too. As the show goes on the club gets into battles with other clubs over some form of supremacy. The show is almost all comedy and battles so it’s always moving. Continue reading

Tonari no Seki-kun the Master of Killing Time (My Neighbor Seki-kun)

Published by:

Tonari no Seki-kun is a short show coming in at about 7 minutes per episode. The premise of the show is about two students Rumi and Seki. Seki is always doing something that is not classwork and Rumi is “trying” to study and pay attention but gets sucked into Seki’s world. Even in the cover shot you see Seki building a volcano. While Seki is doing all these things, Rumi is watching and not paying attention. Continue reading

I’m Still Alive!

Ever feel like you’re falling without a parachute? That’s been me lately while trying to catch up with everything. Since slicing my wrist open with a miter saw I’ve had typing issues then my laptop and keyboard started dying so had to get a new one. Now I’m trying to get my files from the old one to the new one and my tabs in Firefox. I have to get back into a routine since I’m so far behind on this site and my game blog too. Haven’t written anything for the manga in a while because I couldn’t but I’ve had a lot of dialogue ideas. I’ll get there somehow…
