Aki Sora

Published by:

One of the first things you’ll notice about Aki Sora is the tags I gave it. Yes I hit it with the Hentai and Incest tags. I’ll get into that a little later. But not much later since Aki Sora is only a 3 episode OVA.

Sora is a teenage boy who alway would say “I love you” to his older sister. Seems harmless so far right? But as he gets older, he finds it harder to say those words to his sister. Still seems like a normal teenage boy right? One day his sister Aki decides to show her feelings towards him and they go beyond a sister/brother bond. Sora was questioning what was going on but then he gave in to emotion. Of course society wouldn’t understand so they kept this secret love to themselves. But Sora has a twin sister who seems to be in love with a girl who seems to be in love with Sora. Add these two to the mix and you get one wild ride. Continue reading

Nozoki Ana

Published by:

I really had no clue about this show before watching it. I was looking for Nozo x Kimi and just entered Nozo as the search and this came up too. Since it was an OVA I just decided to watch it too. I did not know what I was in for.

The show is a look into the world of voyuerism. Kido Tatsuhiko moved to Tokyo to go to art school and start a new life. Then one day he notices a hole in his wall. He didn’t see anything until one night he saw a girl changing in front of the hole. Ikuno Emiru is that girl, a perverted voyeur who tries to blackmail¬†him into her voyeurism fetish. While Kido doesn’t willingly go with the plan, he learns more and more about voyeurism. Continue reading

Swing Out Sisters

Published by:

This is one that I came across on one of those lists “X anime like X”. I think the anime it was supposed to be like was School Days and I didn’t see it. I guess it has a brief moment or two where you could say that but for the most part, they differ.

Swing Out Sisters is about a teenage boy who his friends think has a “sister complex” because they’re always around him. All 3 of them go to the same school and the 2 sisters are both older. The eldest, Chiyo, is a very well endowed motherly type, she mothers him and the other sister too. She’s very sweet and sort of like an old fashioned wife who will do the housework, etc. The other sister, Chinatsu, is a tomboy who is always picking on Yuuta to the point that he thinks she doesn’t like him. Yuuta seems to gravitate more towards Chiyo for this reason and Chinatsu gets jealous and you can picture where it goes from there with 2 sisters both in love with their brother. Continue reading

Kite

Published by:

Kite is a 50 minute OVA so I figured I could give it a chance. It’s only 50 minutes I’ll never get back right?

Kite revolves around an a schoolgirl named Sawa who is orphaned in her early teens. She is “adopted” by corrupt detectives named Akai and Kanie. Along the way she meets another assassin under the guardianship of Akai and Kanie by the name of Oburi. They’re ordered to kill fat cats, government officials, rapists and others and there is no other way, hit your target or become a target.

To dwelve any further would be to give up the plot. There really isn’t a strong plot here but it’s the basis of the show. There are a few twists which at least give this show a little depth but I just couldn’t get into it. Continue reading
