Cowboy Bebop: Heaven’s Door actually takes place between episodes 22 and 23 of the main series. The same style, aesthethics and musical stylings are kept in tact here so you won’t feel like you’re watching something that was made separately from the series.
There’s a pathogen that was released on Mars killing and injuring around 300 people so the government put a 300 million woolong bounty on the head of the perpetrator. CHFP dumps Faye was already pursuing the driver and Spike and Jet went on the hunt for the terrorist who’s spreading the pathogen.
While Jet is chasing other leads, Spike actually comes in contact with the terrorist. Spike also comes in contact with a mercenary from the company that created the pathogen, she also stands in his way of getting the woolongs. 199-01 dumps While everyone seems to be on his trail, it’s not a collaborative effort and everyone is trying to 1up the next guy/gal in trying to make the capture. Who gets the bounty? You’ll have to watch for yourself and see.
If you’re watching Cowboy Bebop or already have then throw this in there too. Hopefully you’re lucky enough to get it in, where it belongs, before you end the series, I wasn’t so I got thrown for a loop when certain things seemed to be undone. I guess this was one way to make a movie and also keep the series being episodic though this was filmed in the same fashion, so picture one of the episodes in long form. Definitely one to watch.
